Who are we and what are we looking for?

We’re an award-winning water business using the Internet of Things (IoT) and mobile money to provide communities with access to clean water across Kenya, Tanzania, Gambia and Ghana. Our technology has delivered over 1.3 billion litres of affordable water dispensed to over 230,000 people. We are recognised by the World Bank as being at the forefront of innovation in the delivery of smart, prepayment water to the poorest people in Africa.

At eWATER services will be impacting thousands of peoples’ lives every day, improving girls’ access to education, improving health and livelihoods and offsetting carbon emissions; directly tackling key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We continue to expand our water systems and support the world-class team we need to enable that.

As a Developer in our small technical team, you will play a significant part in our mission to deliver sustainable access to water for some of the world’s poorest communities through our proprietary IoT water meters. Reporting to the Lead Developer, you will be maintaining and growing our client facing web dashboards. You will be in contact with our installation and maintenance teams, supporting them and providing feedback to the wider company. You will receive mentoring from our world-class developers and have the opportunity to grow and contribute to the software that underpins and drives our mission. Innovation has been key to our success so far and you will be encouraged to help drive that as eWATER grows.

Your primary role will be to maintain and expand our internal web-site tools; and to liaise with the technicians and engineers using them, providing technical support and ensuring the tools are fit for their needs. You will also be responsible for managing our external web-site.

We would like you to expand into more parts of our business as you learn the way eWATER operates.
