JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Treasury Supervisor will be responsible for cash and liquiditymanagement, funding, risk management related to G4S Kenya Limited financial activities, and treasury operations and controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Cash and Liquidity managementManaging and preparing daily cash balances and weekly cash flowEnsuring that the company's cash flow is adequate to allow it to operate effectivelyForecasting all payments and anticipating challenges arising from limited cash flow and perform financial modelingManage payments via cheque, international wire, Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) and Automated Clearing houseFundingCoordinates the negotiation of loan or overdraft terms with banks in liaison with the UK Treasury office.Liaising with bankers and maintaining positive working relationshipsMonitor bank service fees and address quality concernsTreasury OperationsPrepares various treasury reports and policiesCooperates with internal and external auditors and oversees implementation of audit recommendationsReview and authorize expenses and petty cash payments before any reimbursementsPrepare monthly bank reconciliations and make follow-up on un-reconciled items – No open items aging more than three monthsReview petty cash reconciliations prepared by treasury accountantEnsure all cash sales receipts are well analyzed as per the bank statements for postingProviding advice to other departments on payment instrumentsUpdate and maintain approved bank signatoriesEnsure that proper treasury record keeping procedures are in place and adhered to Continuously scrutinize and improve existing proceduresPeople ManagementEnsure all team members have clearly defined job profiles aligned to their roles.Ensure performance contracts are in place and regular goal reviews completed to assess achievement of results.Ensure that application of poor performance management or employee relations management principles and processes are done promptly as and when required.Provide support, coaching (train) and mentoring continuously to ensure that objectives are met.Ensure completed development plans for each employee is done.Manage allocation of resources appropriately to ensure operational demands are met.Ensure there is adequate succession planning to meet ongoing and anticipated business requirementHealth & SafetyTake reasonable care for the health and safety of self and others.Co-operate with supervisor in ensuring that safety policies and procedures are adhered toReport any unsafe or unhealthy situation to the supervisor or the health and safety representative, as soon as it is identified
