Job Summary
The Network Security & IP Engineer shall be responsible for designing, building, testing, and implementing security systems within a client organisation’s IT network. The resource is expected to have a thorough understanding of complex multi-vendor IT systems and stay up to date with the latest security standards, systems, and authentication protocols, as well as best practice security products.

Job Description/Requirements
In addition to anticipating possible security threats and identifying areas of weakness in a network system, the resource must have the ability to respond promptly and effectively to possible breaches of security through use of security tools.
Key Responsibilities
- In this role, you will generate interest in value-driven security solutions.
- Reviewing customer current system security measures and recommending and implementing enhancements
- Conducting regular system tests and ensuring continuous monitoring of network security on various client networks
- Developing project timelines for ongoing system upgrades
- Establishing disaster recovery procedures and conducting breach of network security drills for clients
- Promptly responding to all client security requests/ incidents and providing thorough post-event analyses
- Focus on new opportunities, through enabling clients understand the company’s network security solutions offering.
- Grow Vendor partnerships as well as product offering to customers
- Capitalizing on your broad experience and industry insight, to demonstration all possible security solution delivery
- Work closely with clients on Demonstrations, Proof of Concepts (POC’s), technical presentations and engaging with users at all levels of our client organizations to ensure all rounded Solution Delivery.
- Work closely with key internal stakeholders to provide complete solutions for clients
- Customer engagements: You will be required to travel to customers in their various localities for meetings aimed at reviewing and understanding their requirements from time to time.
- Manage pre-sales support activities to ensure design & development of solutions as per client requirements; and response to RFPs and technical presentations
- Assisting in the development of formal technical proposals and presentations
- Develop and manage relationships with vendors for both current offering as well as new ones.
Education, Skills and Competencies
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field is highly desirable.
Additional advanced security qualifications such as;
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification
- Cisco Certified Network Associate - Security
- Cisco Certified Network Associate - Routing and switching
- Checkpoint Certified Security Associate
- Rapid7 InsightVM
- Rapid7 Nexpose
- Tripwire
- Gemalto
- Symantec Encryption
- IT Certifications in various technologies are a requirement
- PMP / PRINCE II certification is strongly recommended
- Minimum 8 years of IT experience with 3-5 years as a Security Architect within a Medium to Large organization
- Advanced experience on the network security stack across multiple vendors.
- Must have a good familiarity with other IT/Infrastructure technologies like storage area networks (SAN), WAN acceleration devices, virtualization, and data center design and implementation
- Must have proven leadership skills; excellent people skills and the ability to interact and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization both internal & external
- Must have a strong technical background and hands-on experience surrounding IT Infrastructure technologies (especially technologies like Microsoft Active Directory, VMware, Cisco, Avaya, MSSQL databases, etc.)
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills both written and verbal
- Solid planning & organizational skills; and ability to deliver under pressure
Other Qualities
- Extensive experience in information security and/or IT risk management with a focus on security, performance and reliability
- Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorisation and security
- Good working knowledge of current IT risks and experience implementing security solutions
- Experience implementing multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management or related technologies
- Excellent business acumen and a commercial outlook. Should be a strategic thinker with good analytical Skills
- Excellent Collaboration Skills
- Advanced Technical Knowledge in both basic as well as advanced technologies
- Exceptional Sales and Organizational Skills.
