Supervisor

• Plan work schedules, allocate work accordingly and make a follow up to ensure instructions are effectively executed.
•  Liaise with production team and sort out issues to do with wrong cut stage, pests and diseases and damages.
•  Ensure that there is a high standard of hygiene in the Pack house.
•  Ensure that all working tools are in good condition and available to the workers.
•  Train, motivate and maintain work discipline in the Pack house to foster team work.
•  Enforce the set performance standards and targets and truck all under performers.
•  Check quality of flowers as they are being graded .
•  Ensure that all orders are processed, packed and dispatched as per the customer’s request.
•  Do spot checks on reject quantities per variety and prepare an appropriate reject report.
•  Check on the cold store records and temperature on a daily basis.
•  Check Vase life on daily basis and liaise with the production team if any problems are noticed.
•  Ensure all post-harvest tanks are filled up at the end of the day and buckets properly cleaned and sanitized ready for startup the following morning.
•  Request/sign packing materials/items required from stores, check through issued items and follow-up on any anomalies.
•  Get instructions from the manager on market expectations and demand quality
•  Communicate this to the QCs.
•  Carryout Pack house Manager`s responsibilities in her absence.
•  Any other duties that may be assigned by the manager.
