Job Title: Stock Controller

Key Responsibilities:
- Stock Management: Monitor and manage stock levels across all our business segments to ensure product availability and optimize stock turnover.
- Stock Analysis: Conduct regular stock analysis to identify trends, optimize inventory, and ensure stock levels align with demand.
- Stock Costing: Calculate and monitor the cost of goods sold (COGS) for each department, ensuring accurate stock costing and price setting based on procurement costs, overheads, and market trends.
- Stock Variance Analysis: Perform regular stock audits to compare physical inventory with system records. Investigate and report on discrepancies or stock variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Inventory Reports: Prepare detailed reports on stock levels, stock turnover, stock costs, and variance analysis for management review.
- Compliance & Procedures: Ensure all stock control procedures comply with company policies and regulations, including health and safety standards in the pharmacy department.
- Stock Optimization: Implement strategies to reduce excess stock, minimize waste, and improve stock rotation (FIFO, FEFO) in all our retail business.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the store managers, purchasing, and finance teams to streamline stock processes and ensure smooth operations across all departments.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
- Professional accounting qualification e.g. CPA, ACCA
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager, or similar role in a retail, supermarket, or pharmacy environment.
- Strong knowledge of stock management systems and inventory control software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar systems).
- Experience in stock costing, pricing strategies, and margin analysis.
- Willingness to work night shifts as required
