Job Summary
The Sourcing Executive will be responsible for sourcing products from various markets in Uganda, and possibly within the EAC. The employee will be responsible for identifying reliable suppliers for items including fabric & promotional give away items. The Sourcing Executive will discuss requirements with the sales & marketing team to understand what our clients are looking for, so that when he/she in is the market, he/she can identify the product that will fulfill the client’s requirements. The employee should be able to also identify products that he/she thinks we should be able to sell to our clients, so that our sales & marketing team can propose this to our clients.

- Experience Level : Mid level

Job Description/Requirements
Job Location: Kampala, Uganda
Residency status: Preferably Ugandan National or holder of Certificate of Residence , but open to Expatriates
Qualification: Bachelor’ Degree/Diploma in procurement, supply chain, business is preferred
Linguistic skills: Fluent in English (Spoken & Written)
Intermediate knowledge of either Hindi, Swahili, Luganda is preferred
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in sourcing or procurement
Age: Above 27 Years
Product Line: Garmenting & promotional giveaway items
Remuneration: Salary is market competitive

1.Ability to identify multiple suppliers for various items that are requested for by our sales & marketing team
2.Ability to identify products that can be sold to our clients
Key Responsibilities
1.Sourcing and procurement
a. Expected to go to the local market daily to identify suppliers for textile and promo items. Also explore new product range for promo items in local market.
b. Preparation & Submission of LPO in ERP for Special purchase.
c. Ensuring order Confirmation are received from suppliers.
d. Material follow up against pending orders.
e. Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors to secure favorable pricing and terms for promotional items and Fabric.
f. Researching new products and suppliers for promotional items & fabric in EAC.
g. Negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of promotional items.
h .Analyzing procurement data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
i. Sample arrangement/procurement for client’s as per approved sample given by marketing team.
j. Any other work which affects company financially.
