Job Summary
Miral Welfare Foundation is an NGO that’s supports vulnerable children and empowers children with disabilities in the community. We are looking for an expertise in fields of health/social sciences to work as Program Assistants to support the organization meet is objectives and grow their career while working for the organization
- Minimum Qualification : Bachelors
- Experience Level : Mid level
- Experience Length : 2 years
Job Description/Requirements
The Program Assistant will work with the Program Officers to coordinate and conduct field activities including handling children with disabilities report writing, data management, disability awareness creation, health, and rehabilitation issues of children with disabilities. Other duties include.
- Assisting in management of children with disabilities in the community
- Assisting in child health follow ups
- Organizing Awareness trainings activities in the community
- To operate outreach activities for home rehabilitation program
- Assisting in data management of the beneficiaries
- Linking the beneficiaries with other relevant bodies
- Assisting the program officers as requested
- Conversant with Child rights and advocacy
- Demonstrate ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- The ability to communicate fluently in (English, Swahili and Dholuo languages will be an added advantage).
- Conducting medical health Checkup for children with disabilities.
- Maintain and updates the client’s profile
Job Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma holder in Health/Public Health or Social Work, Social sciences on human services from recognized institutions
Work Experience:
- 1-2 years work experience in public health or social work will be advantageous
- Experience with assessment tools and data entry software
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as reporting, evaluating, and planning
- Ability to maintain positive, collaborative, productive relationships with colleagues at all levels.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to devise creative solutions to complex problems and issues
- Conversant with Child rights and advocacy
- Strong education foundation in social work and community development
- Proficient in computer and organizational skills; ability to use other digital tools for data entry, research, and data collection purposes.
- The ability to communicate fluently in (English, Swahili and Dholuo languages will be an added advantage.
