Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
1. Social Media Strategy Development
o Create and implement a comprehensive social media strategy tailored for Nairobi and Mombasa restaurant locations.
o Align social media goals with overall marketing objectives to boost brand awareness and customer engagement.
2. Content Creation & Management
o Develop, curate, and manage engaging content (images, videos, and written posts) that highlights restaurant offerings, promotions, events, and customer experiences.
o Plan and manage a content calendar for timely and relevant posts on all social platforms.
3. Community Engagement
o Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and reviews, responding promptly to maintain customer satisfaction and brand reputation.
o Engage with followers by initiating conversations, addressing inquiries, and fostering a positive online community.
4. Campaigns and Promotions
o Plan and execute targeted social media campaigns, including paid advertising, to promote new menu items, events, and special offers.
o Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to coordinate promotional efforts across Nairobi and Mombasa.
5. Performance Analysis
o Track, analyze, and report on the performance of social media efforts using analytics tools.
o Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement of social media presence.
6. Trend Monitoring
o Stay updated on social media trends, restaurant industry developments, and competitors’ activities.
o Incorporate emerging trends and technologies to enhance engagement and reach.
7. Collaboration
o Work closely with restaurant management teams in both Nairobi and Mombasa to ensure brand consistency and localized content.
o Partner with photographers, videographers, and influencers to amplify the brand’s online presence.
8. Crisis Management
o Manage online reputation by addressing and mitigating any negative comments or crises promptly and professionally.
Qualifications & Skills
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
· Experience:
o 3+ years of experience managing social media for restaurants, hospitality, or related industries.
o Proven track record of running successful social media campaigns.
· Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) and management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.).
o Knowledge of social media advertising and analytics tools (Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics).
o Basic photography, videography, and graphic design skills are an added advantage.
· Soft Skills:
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
o Creativity and innovation in content development.
