JOB TITLE: SKILLED LABOURERS- PAINTERS, WELDERS & TILERS
NATURE OF JOB: PROJECT-BASED
SALARY: KSHS. 1,500 PER DAY
JOB LOCATION: WESTLANDS
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Painters
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and filling cracks where necessary.
- Apply paint, varnish, primers, and other finishes using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Ensure smooth, clean, and high-quality finishing work.
- Mix and match paint colors according to specifications.
- Protect surrounding surfaces and maintain cleanliness at work sites.
- Follow safety procedures when handling paints, chemicals, and equipment.
Welders
- Perform welding and fabrication works according to project specifications and drawings.
- Operate welding equipment and related tools safely and efficiently.
- Cut, join, and repair metal structures and components.
- Inspect completed work to ensure strength, accuracy, and quality standards are met.
- Maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Observe workplace safety and proper use of protective gear.
Tilers
- Measure and prepare surfaces for tiling work.
- Install wall and floor tiles accurately according to layout specifications.
- Cut and shape tiles using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Apply grout and finishing materials neatly and professionally.
- Ensure proper alignment, spacing, and finishing quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at project sites.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Proven hands-on experience in painting, welding, or tiling.
- Relevant trade certification is an added advantage.
- Ability to deliver quality workmanship with strong attention to detail.
- Reliable, disciplined, and capable of working independently or within a team environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks within timelines.
- Good understanding of workplace safety practices.
- Flexibility to travel or relocate depending on project requirements.
- Physically fit and able to work in demanding site environments.
