JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Site Quantity Surveyor with 10 years of work experience and a Degree in Quantity Surveying (QS). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in on-site quantity surveying, cost control, and contract administration. This role offers the opportunity to work in Kenya or with sister companies across the East Africa region.Qualifications:Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.10 years of work experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on site-based surveying, cost control, and contract administration.Proven experience in site measurements, monthly valuations, and variations management.Strong ability to analyze project costs and reconcile material schedules, ensuring the project remains within budget.Experience in preparing pricing and BOQs for new works, as well as managing financial appraisals and cash flow statements.Excellent attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy in all aspects of measurements, documentation, and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Complete site re-measurements of all work as it progresses, ensuring accurate and up-to-date quantities are recorded.Production of monthly valuations and the necessary supporting documentation, which will become the company’s official records.Liaise with the contract coordinator, site engineer, and general foreman on all aspects of measurements, ensuring that site data and progress are accurately tracked.Quantify bending schedules and compile all site instructions/variation orders, ensuring that any changes to the scope of work are properly documented and costed.Prepare comparative analysis of consultant QS valuations against the company’s applications. Prepare all necessary back-ups to support any variances, and forward them to the consultant QS either before or with the subsequent valuation, as per the decision of the contract coordinator.Routinely update all site measurements records to ensure accurate documentation for final account preparation.
