Job Description/Requirements
REPORTING LINE: SITE MANAGER
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Responsible for the general accounting and financial function for the site. Assisting with monthly closings and account analysis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handling petty cash for staff allowances, office expenses and purchase of spare parts, accurately updating the cash statement;
- Check petty cash vouchers for proper authorization and acknowledgement by recipients and ensure proper posting of the same;
- To ensure payment vouchers are properly supported and properly authorized prior to payment and cheque numbers are authorized;
- Receive supplier’s invoices for deliveries made to all sites for verifications;
- Follow up on suppliers to provide where/when delivery notes are used to provide good/services;
- Ensuring approved LPO’s, manifests and requisitions, are attached to the supplier invoices and posting them into the system;
- Analysis of all sites daily costings reports and making monthly reports;
- Verification of all sites petty cash statements against its supporting documents;
- Managing petty cash transactions, calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct;
- Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations;
- Work consultatively with the respective departments on cost reduction initiatives;
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
- Accurate and timely financial reports submitted in the prescribed format; Zero error rate in report presentations
KEY COMPETENCIES/SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM AT FULLY SATISFACTORY LEVEL, INDICATE AS DESIRED (D) OR ESSENTIAL (E)
- Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred (E); CPA 3&4 (E); At least 2 years of progressive years of experience working in a similar working environment and position (E)
- Data Analysis; experience in handling audit process and payroll; ability to plan, manage and follow through on assignments and communicate at all levels of the organizational timely and professional manner; ability to work independently and as a member of a team with minimal supervision; excellent communications and presentation skills; good written and oral communication skills; self-motivation, determination and confidence in your abilities; Strong IT skills(Word, PowerPoint, advanced Excel);Able to retain confidentiality and communicate discreetly
