Job Overview
Key Job Responsibilities

  • ZERO Harm Safety Commitment for onsite customer performance. Build effective relationships with all applicable mining personnel.
  • Manage full-time mechanics on site and Cummins Technician on the 980 RAMP contract. Manage relationships with service admins, parts team, and sales team to meet customer expectations.
  • Coordinate with local regional product support staff and direct field mechanic activities to ensure maximum customer support and machine availably. Callouts and variable manpower requirements.
  • Coordinate timely and accurate Machine availability reporting and reconciliation with customer. Schedule PM’s and PCR’s for the 980 Fleet.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring for the hourly craftsmen and superintendents/leads working on the project. Coordinate and schedule training for these employees.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports to track and report impact of business function and Continuous Improvement activity, develop daily, weekly, monthly reports as required.
  • Work full time from Morenci Mine Site to support 980 Fleet and RAMP Contract. Make sure work is being done safely, quality program is followed, and timelines are being met.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of mining equipment, applications, and maintenance best practices acquired through 3 to 5 years of service industry experience.
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills capable of engaging with mining site managers, Komatsu employees, and external partners effectively and diplomatically.
  • Ability to understand customer needs clearly, balancing corporate objectives with client requirements to deliver optimal service solutions.
  • Proficiency with computer systems for reporting, scheduling, and communication purposes, ensuring accurate documentation and data management.
  • In-depth understanding of federal and state occupational safety standards, including Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, with a strong ability to implement safety policies.
  • Demonstrated strong personal commitment to safety and a track record of promoting a safety-first culture within teams.
  • A clean, valid driving record to meet operational and legal requirements for on-site and off-site travel.

Additional Information
This position is based full-time at the Morenci Mine Site and requires a candidate able to work onsite to effectively lead service operations.
