About the Role
Our company is seeking an experienced Senior Resident Engineer with over 15 years of experience in managing and supervising infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing construction activities, ensuring compliance with legal and engineering standards, and coordinating project teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications, timelines, and budgets.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with Kenyan construction laws, standards, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and government agencies.
• Review and approve engineering designs, project plans, and technical reports.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Ensure quality control, safety measures, and environmental standards are met.
• Prepare project progress reports and documentation for stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior supervisory role.
• Registered Professional Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
• Corporate membership with the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK).
• Valid practicing license from EBK.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and project management tools.
Legal and Statutory Requirements (As per Kenyan Law)
• Must be compliant with the Engineers Act, 2011.
• Must have a valid NTSA Road Safety Certification (for transportation-related projects).
• Adherence to Environmental Management and Coordination Act (EMCA) 1999.
• Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA 2007) compliance certification.
• Tax compliance certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
• Good Conduct Certificate from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
