What you will be doing:


  • Execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent that are aligned with business needs.
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure workforce planning supports operational growth.
  • Manage employer branding initiatives to position the company as an Employer of Choice (EVP).
  • Implement effective onboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experience.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are effectively communicated and adhered to.
  • Manage grievance and disciplinary processes in line with labour laws and company policies.
  • Implement employee engagement initiatives to drive workplace satisfaction and productivity.
  • Support leadership in building a positive workplace culture.
  • Ensure all HR activities comply with employment laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure teams maintain accurate HR records and oversee HRIS systems (Leapsome, Payspace, etc.).
  • Implement and monitor HR policies, ensuring consistent application across the businesses.
  • Provide final approval on payroll inputs and manage employee benefits administration.
  • Drive performance management processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Support managers in setting clear performance goals and conducting regular reviews.
  • Implement training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills.
  • Oversee leadership development programmes for emerging leaders.
  • Lead HR initiatives that support business transformation and change management.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure the smooth execution of restructuring or expansion projects.
  • Drive HR digital transformation to enhance efficiency and automation.
  • Ensure competitive compensation structures are in alignment with industry benchmarks.
  • Oversee the execution of reward and recognition programmes.
  • Work with finance teams to manage HR budgets effectively.


What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HR role.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and compliance for West and East Africa is highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Demonstrate strong abilities as an organiser, relationship builder, negotiator, problem solver and public speaker
  • Experience in marketplaces or internet SaaS companies is highly advantageous.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
