SENIOR FINANCE OFFICER

Core Responsibilities

1. Regulatory Compliance & Reporting

Ensure the accurate and timely submission of all regulatory returns to the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) and Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC).

Prepare and manage statutory deductions and other critical payments while optimizing cash flow.

Ensure 100% compliance with all statutory deduction timelines.

2. Financial Analysis & Strategy

Prepare comprehensive Management Accounts and financial papers for Board review.

Analyze financial and operational performance to provide actionable insights for decision-making.

Lead the annual budget preparation process and monitor performance to ensure strict expenditure control.

3. Operational Excellence

Coordinate quarterly, annual, and special audits, serving as the primary point of contact for auditors.

Oversee daily financial transactions within the core banking system.

Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts, receivables, and payables.

4. Leadership & Development

Foster a culture of professional development and continuous learning within the finance department.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

Full professional qualification (CPA-K or ACCA).

5+ years in a busy finance environment, preferably in Banking or Microfinance.

Proven expertise in CBK/KDIC reporting requirements and core banking systems.

Analytical mindset, high integrity, and excellent communication skills.
