Job Summary
To assist the Head of Department in contributing to the growth within the division and to ensure that the specific allocated tasks are carried out efficiently and diligently. During the course of your duty, you will relate to colleagues, Supervisors, Managers and external stakeholders.

Job Description/Requirements
• To prepare Management Accounts and Statutory Financial Statements as per IFRS, in accordance with set procedures.
• To ensure that financial statements and reports are fully compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
• To understand the internal control aspect of the businesses and assist clients accordingly.
• To file VAT returns
• To file PAYE, NSSF, NHIF and other statutory returns.
• To maintain a FAR (Fixes Asset Register) manually and on a specialised software.
• To perform bank reconciliations manually and on an accounting software.
• To perform debtors and creditors reconciliations manually and on an accounting software.
• To apply for, and/or to follow up on applications made on behalf of our clients to KRA, NSSF, NHIF, WIBA, NCIB (construction).
• To assist in the incorporation of domestic companies in Kenya.
• To prepare and submit ad – hoc financial reports.
• To ensure files are properly maintained – originals of documents are properly kept and corresponding scanned documents are saved in appropriate folder.
• To prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
• Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
• Any other duties associated with the proper and professional keeping of accounting records and administration of local (Kenyan) companies.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND OTHER PREREQUISITES
• Degree holder in Accounting and Finance or ACCA partly or fully
• Being a Certified Secretary will constitute an advantage
• At least 3 years’ relevant working experience in a similar role.
• Fluent in oral and written English and French.
• Dynamic, committed and proactive.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Good team player, with strong customer service drive
