Job Description/Requirements
Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing retail chain in the textile market, is seeking to hire a competent and experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
Job Role:
As the Senior Accountant, you will support management by providing accurate and timely financial reports, overseeing cashflow and treasury expectations, ensuring tax and statutory compliance, managing procurement, and handling related administrative duties. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the company’s inventory and assets. You would also be liaising with government and regulatory bodies over compliance matters.
Responsibilities:
• Provide financial and tax advisory to the business.
• Oversee tax and statutory compliance.
• Manage cash and treasury operations efficiently.
• Ensure accurate inventory and asset management.
• Provide timely and accurate financial information for decision-making and annual statutory reporting.
• Advise the company on strategic expansion options.
• Build strong working relationships with other departments.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls and data security.
Qualifications:
• Qualified Accountant (CPA- K or ACCA )
• At least a Business Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a management role, preferably in the retail or trading sector.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Proven experience with accounting software.
Expected remuneration: Circa Kshs 1.5M to Kshs 2.0M Gross per annum gross, with added benefits based on targets set plus benefits.
