DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES.

• Evaluate, coordinate, assess, and analyze performance of contracted security personnel

• Ensure efficient operation of all security systems and equipment, recording, storage and archiving.

• Conduct surveillance, collect data and develop a risk mitigation report to security Manager.

• Investigate and develop preventative measures report against accidents, incidents, breaches, and risks to security manager.

• Attend meetings with other managers to determine security operational needs

• Protect employees, assets, people, business operations/activities and brands from actual or potential threats.

• Promptly report electronic security equipment failure to the security manager to ensure prompt fixing of the equipment.

• Ensure that company vehicles are tracked as per the procedure and any anomaly picked up and reported immediately to relevant managers.

• Induct new employees on security procedures and requirements.

• Properly train and supervise contracted security staff.

• Monitor, contain and coordinate any activities that are a threat to company operation.

• Monitor and control movement of vehicles in and out of EAC premises. Such vehicles will include suppliers, customers, visitors and company.

• Identify and deter any criminal activities within the business (theft, pilferage, fraud, etc.).

• Ensure off-peak – weekends and public holidays - customer inquiries are taken/recorded and referred to the commercial department as per the procedure. 

• Manage and coordinate any other delegated company duties, for efficient and effective operation.

• Ensure that comprehensive security reports are sent to the security manager, weekly and monthly or / and when required.

• Ensure that all security records are well maintained and archived as per the SOPs

• Undertake all work accordance with/in compliance with company procedures, relevant statutory requirements, and the codes of best practice, honesty, and integrity.

• Be aware of your responsibilities in terms of health, safety and environment including identifying at your appraisal, appropriate health, and safety training.

• Any other duties as may be assigned to you by the management.


ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS 


Academic Qualifications: 

• Degree/Diploma in Criminology, Security Management or related field.

Professional Qualifications:    

• Background from the disciplined forces / security service providers with proven knowledge of crime or fraud detection.


KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS. 

• Experience

· At least 4 years’ experience in security management, supervision and law enforcement procedures.

· Requirement

· A Police Clearance Certificate and letter of discharge from the previous employer.
