Our Client is hiring a Sales Representative who will be responsible for selling the company's products by identifying leads, educating prospects on products through calls, trainings, and presentations, and providing existing customers with exceptional support.

Job Description/Requirements

JOB PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Sales Representative is responsible for selling the company's products by identifying leads, educating prospects on products through calls, trainings, and presentations, and providing existing customers with exceptional support.


DIMENSIONS:

Turnover: KES TBA

Staff supervised directly: 7-8

Staff supervised indirectly: N/A


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any Business-Related Field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales and marketing (FMCG) in a similar role-
  • Valid Driver’s License

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND KEY RESULTS:


Trade & Outlet Execution

  • Execution of Outlet against picture of success QDVPPP
  • Drive execution of cycle plans - Promotions and other trade initiatives
  • Monitor competitive activities through the team and advise the RSM accordingly.
  • Monitor Price compliance (RRP).
  • Van selling to outlets not serviced by distributors.


Outlet Development

  • Build and develop collaborative relationships with retail.
  • Develop, Review and Implement Route plan for Trade Development Representatives.


Sales and Market share growth

  • Manages and measures sales targets daily, weekly and Monthly and take corrective action
  • Allocates execution resources (e.g. POS / promotional material etc.) for maximum return.
  • Manage Sales orders, Sell-In and Out address any gaps to ensure no OOS in retail
  • Drive consistent sales volume growth.
  • Develop and implement territory action plan through comprehensive data analysis, and adjust sales techniques based on interactions and results in the field
  • Generate leads and build relationships planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets.


Distributor Management

  • Managing wholesalers and retailers in a given Area.
  • Ensure OG is realised at all Distributors as per agreed purchase plans and as per agreed and signed off company targets.
  • Management of Distributor Accounts Receivables


Inventory Optimisation

  • Ensure application of suitable methodology to ensure maintenance of appropriate stock levels across the assigned Distributors.
  • Provide support and guidance to Distributors and other dealers in ensuring stock optimisation.


People Management

  • Monitor route coverage by Distributor Sales Reps.
  • Provide guidance and support to the team on Distributor Operating standards.
  • Identify gaps and build capability for the DSRs.
  • Manage Performance daily.
  • Weekly coaching and accompaniment of the Teams in Trade.
