- Reports to: Lubricants Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Revenue Growth


  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for lubricants within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share and reach.
  • Identify new market opportunities, potential clients, and regions for lubricants expansion.
  • Collaborate with distributors, retailers, and partners to maximize sales channels and opportunities.


Customer Relationship Management


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers on the correct and safe usage of lubricants products.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests efficiently.
  • Conduct customer visits and follow-ups to ensure retention and satisfaction.



Market Analysis and Reporting


  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and changes in consumer behavior to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Collect and analyse data on customer needs, pricing, and market demand to provide insights to management.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, including forecasts, and market analysis to the Line Manager


Operational Coordination


  • Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of lubricants to customers.
  • Manage inventory levels for the assigned area to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and local regulations regarding lubricants storage, transportation, and handling.
  • Ensure proper branding and visibility of lubricants in retail outlets.


Promotion and Brand Awareness


  • Promote lubricants products through campaigns, trade shows, and marketing initiatives.
  • Provide training sessions and demonstrations to distributors, retailers, and consumers on product usage and safety measures.
  • Support marketing teams in developing promotional materials and strategies to enhance brand visibility.


Risk Management and Compliance


  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Identify potential risks in sales and operations and report them to the management for prompt resolution.
  • Stay updated on legal regulations and industry best practices related to lubricants distribution and sales.



Qualifications and Skills:


Educational Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field for technical sales environments.
  • A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, may also be considered.
  • Knowledge of the lubricants industry is an added advantage.2-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the lubricants industry or related fields. 
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.


Experience


  • 2-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the lubricants industry or related fields.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.


Skills:

  • Lubricants’ technical knowledge

  • Strong negotiation and sales skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong customer service orientation.

  • Analytical skills to evaluate market conditions and identify opportunities.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Familiarity with sales software (e.g., CRM) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).



Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory regularly.

  • Valid driver’s license.



Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Achieving or exceeding sales targets within the territory.

  • Customer acquisition and retention rate.

  • Customer satisfaction and feedback scores.

  • A number of new distribution partnerships have been established.

  • Market share growth in the assigned region.

  • Timeliness and accuracy of sales reports and forecasts.



Work Environment:

  • The position requires both office work and fieldwork, including customer visits, meetings, and site inspections.

  • Regular travel within the assigned region is expected to meet with customers and partners.

  • Operating a sales van in the designated regions, and working with a shop steward
