You will be joining a bold team consisting of leading engineers, operators, and entrepreneurs hailing from companies that include Tesla, Apple, Google, SRAM, Ola Electric, Dott, LiveWire, Lucid, Bolt, Microsoft, SafeBoda, Sun Mobility, among many others. Zeno has just closed its seed round with Lowercarbon, Silicon Valley’s leading climate tech venture fund, Toyota Ventures, the VC of the world’s largest automotive company, and 4DX Ventures, a leading early-stage investor in Africa.The RoleZeno is seeking an energetic and results-driven Sales Associate to support sales growth in Kenya. This role is critical in building strong relationships with customers, driving sales, and expanding Zeno’s presence, particularly within the boda boda communities. You will be on the front lines, engaging with customers, identifying sales opportunities, and representing Zeno’s mission with passion and authenticity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Generation: Drive sales of Zeno Emara through direct customer engagement, field visits, and participation in community events.Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with boda boda riders, fleet operators, and key stakeholders to understand their needs and promote Zeno's value proposition.Lead Development: Identify new business opportunities, generate leads, and convert prospects into loyal customers through effective sales strategies.Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and test rides to showcase the features and benefits of Zeno's electric motorcycles.Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market feedback to support data-driven decision-making.Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, operations, and product teams to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.Event Participation: Represent Zeno at trade shows, roadshows, product launches, and other promotional events to drive brand awareness and sales.What You Bring:2+ years of experience in a high intensity environment Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse customer groups, especially with boda boda communities.Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.Fluency in English and Swahili; additional local languages are a plus.Willingness to travel extensively across Kenya, including rural and peri-urban areas.Basic technical knowledge of motorcycles or EVs is an advantage.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experienceCompany sponsored healthcare plan.Join a world class team of engineers, operators, and entrepreneurs from across the globe who are part of the inevitable trillion-dollar transition of two-wheelers to electric!
