An unprecedented energy transition has begun. To meet 2040 net zero goals, over 2 billion electric two-wheelers (motorcycles) must be sold and $11 trillion in fuel consumption replaced. Zeno is building a tech platform to electrify this two-wheeler market, currently responsible for more than 4% of the world’s GHG emissions. With a focus on East Africa as a starting point, Zeno is building a new energy ecosystem with ground-up development of a fundamentally better electric motorcycle and associated battery swap network to drive a better experience for our customers.

You will be joining a bold team consisting of leading engineers, operators, and entrepreneurs hailing from companies that include Tesla, Apple, Google, SRAM, Ola Electric, Dott, LiveWire, Lucid, Bolt, Microsoft, SafeBoda, Sun Mobility, among many others. Zeno has just closed its seed round with Lowercarbon, Silicon Valley’s leading climate tech venture fund, Toyota Ventures, the VC of the world’s largest automotive company, and 4DX Ventures, a leading early-stage investor in Africa.The RoleZeno is seeking an experienced and dynamic Onboarding and Sales Manager to oversee, train, and scale our customer onboarding and sales teams across Kenya. This role requires strong leadership, process design expertise and operational management skills to ensure seamless onboarding experiences and effective sales growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of onboarding and sales associates across Kenya, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.Training & Development: Design and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance team skills in customer onboarding, product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer relationship management.Operational Oversight: Develop and optimize onboarding and sales processes, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and alignment with Zeno's strategic goals.Sales Strategy Execution: Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute sales strategies that drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.Customer Success: Oversee the customer onboarding journey, ensuring exceptional customer experiences that lead to long-term loyalty and satisfaction.Partnership Management: Support associates in facilitating partner financing and insurance sign-ups, ensuring smooth coordination with external partners.Performance Monitoring: Set clear performance metrics, track team progress, and provide regular feedback to drive continuous improvement and achieve targets.Field Engagement: Travel extensively to key markets across Kenya, engaging with customers, partners, and local communities to support team activities and gather market insights.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, and product teams to align onboarding and sales efforts with company objectivesWhat You Bring:5+ years of experience in sales, customer success, or operations management, preferably within fast-growing organizations.Proven track record of leading, managing, and scaling customer-facing teams with measurable success.Strong operational skills with the ability to develop and optimize processes for efficiency and impact.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring and influencing diverse teams and customers.Experience working with partner financing, insurance, or related financial services is an advantage.Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Passion for sustainable energy, electric vehicles, and making a positive impact.Fluency in English and Swahili; additional local languages are a plus.Willingness to travel extensively across Kenya to support and oversee team operations.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience and ESOP plan.
