We are located in a high-traffic area, requiring efficient operations and top-tier service. We are seeking a Restaurant Manager who can navigate this dynamic environment with expertise, integrity, and attention to detail.


Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations at our busy smash burger joint. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing fast-food or quick-service restaurants, with expertise in implementing operational systems, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency in using technology to enhance efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:


Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities. Ensure adherence to Bun & Beef's operational standards, policies, and procedures.


Staff Recruitment and Training: Recruit, onboard, and train staff members, including Crew Members, Cashiers, and Cleaners. Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff competence and performance.


System Implementation and Enforcement: Design and enforce operational procedures to ensure efficiency, consistency, and high-quality service. Utilize technology (Google Sheets, Docs, and other software) to create and manage reports, track performance, and analyze data.


Scheduling and Labor Management: Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimize labor costs. Monitor labor costs and adjust schedules as necessary to meet budgetary targets.


Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and ensuring proper storage. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing.


Customer Service Excellence: Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained at all times. Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly and effectively.


Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, labor costs, and customer satisfaction. Prepare and present detailed performance reports to the Owner using Google Sheets and Docs. Quickly adapt to new software tools and systems as required.


Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with the Head Chef to optimize kitchen operations, menu execution, and food quality. Coordinate with the Marketing Manager to plan and execute promotional activities and gather customer feedback.


Compliance and Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant environment in accordance with local health and safety regulations. Ensure all staff adhere to hygiene and safety standards.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in managing fast-food or quick-service restaurants, particularly in high-traffic settings.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing operational systems and procedures.
  • Proficient in using Google Sheets, Docs, and other software tools. Must be able to quickly learn and adapt to new software.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Experience in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and controlling inventory is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
