Research Assistant(2)

The Study Research Assistant (RA) will support the HTS Prep Project, which focuses on Scaling up for impact: HIV testing counselor-led pathway to accelerate PrEP delivery at scale. The RA will primarily abstract PrEP and family planning data according to approved Standard Operating Procedures. They will also assist in tracking study participants enrolled in the cohort study

Terms of Employment:

This is a full-time position based in Kisumu, with occasional travel to various clinics within Kisumu County. The RA will report to the project coordinator and work closely with the research and clinical teams. The position is offered on a contractual basis, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Core Responsibilities

1. 
   
2. Data Abstraction: Ensure PrEP and FP data abstraction is performed according to approved Standard Operating Procedures.
   
3. Participant Engagement: Support in the retention of participants enrolled in the cohort study. The RA will also assist in scheduling and coordinating qualitative interviews.
   
4. Administrative support: Provide weekly summaries of data abstraction to the study coordinator
   

Essential Requirements

• 
  
• Minimum a Diploma in Community health, social work, sociology or Health records
  
• Must have at least one year research Experience
  
• Must have excellent skills in REDCAP for data collection
  
• Must have a certificate in Human Subjects Protection
  
• Excellent computer skills
  
• Excellent communication skills: Must be able to communicate regularly with study coordinator via email/ Zoom
  
• Language skills: fluency in English and Kiswahili.
  
• Team player with ability to work closely with other study and facility staff
