About us
Myfugo was founded in July 2018 to help smallholder dairy farmers improve their productivity and profitability through financial inclusion and use of sensor technology to assist in health and reproductive management. Myfugo does this by helping dairy farmers purchase high-milk yielding dairy cows through asset financing which is repaid in 12 months. Access to loans allows them to meet "just in time needs" such as Veterinary, Artificial Insemination and feed costs.
Myfugo also offers scalable digital solutions including alternative score card to increase financial inclusion for the unbanked and underserved. With an aim to bolster food security, our social impact indicators including increase in milk production per cow and increased revenue per farmer.
Position Overview
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the sales teams across Rongo, Kisumu, Eldoret, and Siaya regions. This role involves driving loan sales, developing strategic partnerships with farmers, and ensuring the achievement of regional sales targets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in selling loans, a deep understanding of the agricultural sector, and a proven track record of working directly with farmers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Leadership: Lead, manage, and motivate sales teams across Rongo, Kisumu, Eldoret, and Siaya to achieve and exceed loan sales targets.
2. Market Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities in the agricultural sector, with a focus on expanding MyFugo's market presence among farmers.
3. Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, cooperatives, and other stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
4. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
5. Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate the performance of the sales teams, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
6. Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to the CEO on sales performance, market trends, and any challenges or opportunities within the region.
7. Budget Management: Oversee the regional sales budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize return on investment.
8. Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
9. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Complince, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the microfinance or agricultural sector.
Proven Track Record: Demonstrable success in selling loan products and working with farmers, with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Agriculture, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to analyze market trends and data to inform decision-making.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the agricultural sector, particularly the financial needs and challenges faced by farmers in the region.
Travel: Willingness to travel within the assigned regions as required.
