AutoXpress is Kenya’s leading supplier of tyres, wheels, batteries, suspension parts, and vehicle services with an existing countrywide network of 56 branches. We represent world-class brands extending superior service to our customers with an identifiable difference. As we expand our network, we are looking to recruit a dynamic individual who assist the team in achieving their mandate. Details of the position are outlined below.
BASIC FUNCTION
The Regional Manager will oversee the operations and performance of multiple retail branches within the designated region. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction. The Regional Manager will work closely with branch managers to ensure consistent implementation of company policies and procedures and achieve financial targets.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of branch managers to achieve sales targets, operational goals, and customer service standards.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement.
- Increase customer volumes through branch visibility, localized marketing campaigns and hunting for new B-B customers within the region.
- Implement company strategies and initiatives to enhance branch performance and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards in all branches within the region.
- Conduct regular store visits to evaluate operations, provide feedback, and support branch managers.
- Develop and execute regional business plans to drive sales and improve operational efficiency.
- Foster a positive and motivating work environment that encourages teamwork and high levels of performance.
- Manage regional budgets and financials, ensuring cost control and maximizing profitability.
- Address customer concerns and feedback to enhance the overall shopping experience.
- Ensure optimal resourcing to maximize sales whilst reducing operational costs wherever possible.
- Continuously evaluate new business opportunities within the region and ensure that the relevant branches capture this business.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail management, with at least 3 years in a regional or multi-branch management role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management software.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
