Our client, an established Kenyan company in the fast-moving consumer foods industry, is seeking to identify a qualified and reliable Manager of high integrity, to head their purchasing docket.

Reporting to the Manager, Supply Chain, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing procurement of all purchased materials and services and overseeing the function activities. The ideal candidate must have relevant experience, in a senior position, in the FMCG sector.
Key responsibilities
° Oversee procurement of purchased materials and services and ensure all goods purchased, comply with our Client’s safety standards.
° Maintain compliance to procurement practices, regulations and rules.
° Establish re-order levels and ensure adherence to minimum and maximum stock levels.
° Ensure that the supply of goods and services is conducted in a timely, confidential, effective and efficient manner while maintaining relevant internal controls to safeguard the company's resources.
° Coordinate tenders, imports & exports for the company.
° Approve of all procurement documents and carry out all activities related to the SLA process.
Key competencies and qualifications
° Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Economics or Supply Chain.
° Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management.
° Minimum eight (8) years’ relevant work experience preferably gained in the FMCG Sector.
° Member of a professional body in good standing e.g. KISM will be an added advantage.
° Knowledge of FMCG environment and working with an ERP Accounting System.
° Conversant with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 2000, HACCP, OHS and Environment Management).
° Strong problem-solving, organizational, and management skills.
The successful candidate will enjoy a collaborative work environment and market level remuneration package.
