ABOUT THE COMPANY
Kenya Private Sector Alliance is the apex body for private sector in Kenya. KEPSA brings together local and foreign business associations, federations, chambers of commerce, professional bodies, corporates including multinationals, large and medium-sized corporates, SMEs and start-ups from all sectors of the economy, representing over 1 million businesses locally and over 45million businesses globally through the membership of ICC-Kenya Chapter. We enable these businesses to speak with one voice when engaging Government, development partners and other stakeholders on cross-cutting policy issues affecting private sector development and we implement programs that ensure the social-economic development of the country including women and youth empowerment.
KEPSA serves as a federation of over 80 Associations and professional bodies. In the EAC region, KEPSA serves as the national focal point of the East African Business Council and engages closely with peer apex bodies in the EAC region to resolve any emerging business issues as well as to promote trade and investment.

KEPSA brings together local and foreign business associations, federations, chambers of commerce, professional bodies that are sectoral umbrella bodies and individual sectoral business membership organizations, corporates, from multinationals to large and medium-sized companies, SMEs, and start-ups from all sectors of the economy, across all parts of the country. This gives KEPSA a reach of over 2 million businesses directly and indirectly. KEPSA also serves as the national focal point of the East Africa Business Council (EABC), the umbrella body of businesses in East Africa. RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage project finances, including preparation of annual budgets for the project activities, forecasting, and cash flow.Provide a detailed budget analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis by monitoring project budgets, tracking expenditures and analysing variances;Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for partners and different stakeholders including monthly, quarterly, annual and any other reporting required as necessaryOversee disbursement of funds and review payment documentation to ensure financial transactions are carried out in accordance with KEPSA’s finance manual.Submits requests for funds, specifying the amount of funds needed accompanied by a cash-flow forecast based on the budgeted activities and financing agreement.Process payments for projects commitments timely and in line with the projects approved budget and financing agreement. Conduct regular reconciliations such as monthly bank reconciliations and creditors reconciliations. Report to the Projects leads on the general conditions of cost control of the projects raising any concerns as they arise.Facilitate internal audits, annual external audits or any other fiduciary audit required to ensure compliance with governance procedures. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard project resources.Provide timely support in financial evaluation during procurement processesLiaise with partners and stakeholders on financial matters.Perform any other duties assigned in line with this positionJob SpecificationA bachelor’s degree in commerce or financeAt least five (5) years’ experience managing donor-funded projects/programsCPA-K and professional membership in good standing.Proficient in database and financial management software (e.g. SAP)Required skillsProven work experience as a Project Accountant Strong knowledge of accounting and financial principles and practicesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailStrong leadership and communication skillsOrganizational and problem-solving expertiseSkilled in analyzing financial risks and resolving conflicts.Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methodsA solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principlesAbility to work independently and as part of a team
