PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR (KES70,000 GROSS)

Role Description

Our client, a leading manufacturer specialized in furniture and metal fabrication, is seeking to recruit a highly competent and hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee daily production operations and drive efficiency within the plant.

The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, technical manufacturing knowledge, and the ability to ensure smooth coordination of production activities while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production operations to ensure production targets are achieved efficiently.
• Monitor workflow, productivity, and material utilization to minimize wastage and downtime.
• Lead, guide, and motivate production teams to maintain high performance and discipline.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety procedures, and operational policies.
• Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to resolve operational challenges.
• Prepare production reports and track key performance indicators.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production process.
• Ensure proper machine utilization and adherence to maintenance schedules.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and shop floor operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict production deadlines.
• Previous experience in furniture manufacturing, steel fabrication, or metal works operations will be a strong advantage.
