JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION MANAGER – MULTI-DEPARTMENT (PLASTICS, METAL & WOOD)

JOB LOCATION: KARIOBANGI
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
General Production Management (All Departments)
- Oversee daily production operations across Plastic, Metal, and Wood sections
- Ensure production targets are met efficiently and within set timelines
- Maintain proper coordination between departments for smooth workflow
- Monitor production output and resolve operational bottlenecks
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency
Wood Department Supervision
- Ensure employees report on time and follow safety procedures
- Allocate tasks using job cards to ensure efficiency and productivity
- Monitor workflow and output in the wood production section
- Ensure quality standards are maintained in all wood-related products
Metal Department Oversight (General)
- Supervise metal fabrication processes to ensure efficiency and safety
- Ensure proper handling and use of machinery and tools
- Monitor quality of metal products at each production stage
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
Quality Control – Plastic Department
- Conduct strict quality checks at all stages of production, including:
- Verification of correct installation of items on hangers (recording employee details and timing)
- Ensuring all items are clean and free from dust or contamination
- Confirming correct quantities per batch or hanger
- Inspecting products after oiling for smoothness and absence of scratches or spills
- Rechecking coated items for defects before approval for gold coating
- Ensuring gold coating meets approved color and quality standards
- Approving final items for unhanging and packaging
Production Monitoring & Reporting
- Record all production activities daily from morning to evening
- Maintain accurate production logs and reports for management review
- Track output, wastage, efficiency, and downtime
- Ensure proper documentation of all manufacturing activities
Packaging & Final Product Inspection
- Verify accuracy and quality of all packed products
- Ensure product cleanliness before packaging
- Confirm correct weight consistency as per approved standards
- Ensure proper and neat packaging of all goods
- Ensure cartons are correctly labelled with product name, weight, color specification
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Proven experience in a production/manufacturing supervisory or managerial role
- Strong knowledge of production processes in plastic, metal, and/or wood industries
- Experience in quality control and workflow management
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities
- Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset
- Ability to manage multiple production lines simultaneously
