Job Summary
As Product Owner you will drive forward how merchants make payments. You will expand pawaPay offer into new types of payments and unlock new business models that our product supports.

Job Description/Requirements
Your main duties will include:
Roadmap Management: Develop, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog and roadmap to ensure effective progress.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with customers, sales, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure seamless messaging, sales, operation, and support of our products.
Performance and Availability: Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure the payments product is highly performant and available, beyond just adding more CPU/RAM.
Agility: Utilize Agile methodologies to support the product development process, enabling timely and high-quality delivery of features and improvements. Deliver small things often to build big things.
Metrics and KPIs: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the payment product’s success and make data-supported decisions to create accountability.
Documentation and Training: Ensure comprehensive documentation and training so merchants, as well as sales and onboarding teams, fully understand new features.
Communication: Effectively communicate complex concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, simplifying the payments process for everybody.
What is required of the ideal candidate?
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience working on products in an Agile setting; previous experience working in finance or fintech space is highly desirable.
You have a strong understanding of APIs and can distinguish a good one from a bad one.
You have worked with products where performance and availability are business-critical and cannot be achieved by merely adding more hardware or an index.
You can break down complex problems into concepts that are effective now and in the future.
You can communicate those concepts to others in a way that enhances their understanding without making them feel inadequate.
You know when more data can help you, but also when it cannot.
You are self-driven and focused on delivering outcomes, not just outputs.
You know that a feature is not done unless sales knows how to sell it, support knows how to support it, operations know how to operate it and of course, customers want to use it.
You create product specifications that describe how a feature will be experienced, not just how it should be built.
You enjoy working proactively with engineering.
