JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Pricing Manager to lead and optimize our pricing strategies for a wide range of FMCG products across the country. With a focus on numeric distribution and volume, our low-margin business model requires a dynamic individual who can balance competitiveness with profitability. The Pricing Manager will be responsible for daily market-driven pricing strategies, with an emphasis on data analysis, market trends, and cost management. CPA certification is a plus.Minimum of 5 years in pricing or revenue management roles within FMCG, with a focus on high-volume, low-margin products.Hands-on experience working with ERP systems in a pricing or financial role is required.Advanced Excel skills with strong abilities in data analysis.Experience with pricing software is a significant advantage.Understanding of the FMCG sector and the competitive landscape in Kenya.Ability to balance pricing competitiveness and profitability while driving sales volumes.Strong communication and presentation skills for cross-functional collaboration and reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop a pricing strategy by collaboratingwith key stakeholders to develop and refine pricing strategies that align withthe company's goals and market dynamics.Conduct thorough market research,competitor analysis, and customer segmentation to understand pricesensitivities and identify opportunities for pricing optimization.Develop pricing models andutilize historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors to forecastpricing scenarios and assess their impact on revenue and profitability.Work closely withcross-functional teams to implement pricing changes, ensuring propercommunication and coordination across departments.Monitor the performance ofpricing strategies and initiatives, track key pricing metrics, and generateregular reports to evaluate the effectiveness of pricing decisions.Continuously assess pricingstrategies and identify areas for improvement, propose pricing adjustments, andimplement pricing experiments to maximize revenue and profit margins.Monitor competitor pricingstrategies, promotions, and market trends to proactively adjust pricingstrategies and maintain competitiveness.Ensure compliance with pricingpolicies, regulations, and legal requirements, providing guidance and supportto internal teams as needed.Collaborate with sales,marketing, finance, and operations teams to gather insights, share pricingrecommendations, and align pricing strategies with broader business objectives
