Job Description/Requirements
JOB PURPOSE
The Premix Dispenser is responsible for accurate tipping of all premixes and other feed additives during feed production while adhering to GMP and Food Safety requirements, including adherence to cross contamination matrix protocols.
In addition to premix dispensing, the Premix Dispenser also monitors/operates the hammer mill, which is located near premix dispensing area. They also carry out bins’ dipping every morning.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Weighing &Tipping Premixes
Tipping of premixes as per the set guidelines, which is done on average after every 3 minutes.
Recording the details of all premixes and additives tipped in real time as part of feed safety and to ensure traceability.
Weighing of materials/ingredients that are not pre-weighed at Mineral Plant (MPL) as per each feed formulation.
Work closely with the Process Operator for protocol confirmation and entry after every batch done for accuracy in dosing.
Premix Stock Management
Preparation of Daily Premix stock movement and investigation/explanation of any variance.
Premix receipt in SAP as per physical receipts.
Preparation of Premix requisition after completion of stock reconciliation & movement. Premixes are requested from MPL through Raw Material Store and are supplied from MPL on a Just-In-Time (JIT) basis, meaning they are not stored in RM store but are supplied directly to Production Store at premix dispensing area.
Raw material bin dipping’s before close of night shift from to help raw material daily reconciliations.
Hammer Mill Operation
Ensure timely and error free screen change over as per the ground material schedule.
Work closely with the Mechanical Technician to change worn out hammer mill beaters.
Safety Health and Environment (SHE), Food Safety & PaTaMu
Safely cleaning inside the Homogenizer after Dairy Meal batches to avoid clogging.
Actively participate in 6K, CI, SHE, FSMS/GMP /PaTaMu, activities in the respective sites.
Identify and report all quality and food safety issues during daily operations.Understand and adhere to the established cross contamination matrix.
Any other assigned duties.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum Degree in Food Science or any other Science related course.
At least two (2) years’ experience in the Food/Feed manufacturing industry.
Specific experience required: Good in computations/working with numbers.
Special skills required/disposition: Proficiency in computer applications.
Knowledge in Feed Safety - ISO 22000: 2018.
Knowledge in Lean manufacturing/Continual Improvement
Good communication skills
