JOB SUMMARY

Role: Part-time position 3 days per week. This unique role also allows the candidate time to pursue other activities/ side hustles. Successful performance may lead to new career development and promotion.Job Summary: The objective of this role is to support a busy Chairman who travels extensively. You will assist/ undertake administrative, communication and other implementation tasks related to the Chairman’s business, personal and family requirements. Initially this is a 3-month placement which may be extended to a longer term, depending on your performance and our business requirements. A positive mindset with a ‘can-do’ attitude is absolutely essential. This role suits an intelligent, reliable, performance-driven individual seeking the opportunity to work for a demanding leader overseeing various business interests and projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties will include but are not limited to:acting as a first point of contact for various people seeking to engage the Chairman;liaising with third parties, conveying the Chairman’s instructions, making appointments, maintaining records electronically, making arrangements for travel and travelling toperform duties;attending meetings and visiting locations to convey or obtain information or to inspect projects on site including providing general assistance during presentations, reviewing reports, assessing quotations and providing feedback;engaging with various suppliers and service providers as instructed, carrying out research and presenting findings/ reports on various processes and initiatives;collating certain expense accounts and various monthly budgets;performing other miscellaneous tasks as required by the Chairman from time to time;working hours from 9am to 6pm with frequent requirement to align your working hours tothe needs of business and international time zones when the Chairman is travelling/ overseas; and,working from home with flexibility to attend to office matters or other locations as instructed.Person Specification: To be considered for this role, you MUST be/demonstrate the following:A trustworthy and energetic person able to use initiative and work without constant supervision.Sensible person, careful with information, reliable and able to maintain strict confidentiality.Highly organized, able to follow instructions, prioritize, take responsibility for tasks, and deliver results on time. Minimum 3 years working experience. Strong computer Microsoft office software skills and social media skills. Diploma graduate from a reputable college or university. University graduates preferred.Proactive worker and team player, with good communication skills in English and Swahili (written and oral), good business awareness and mathematically literate. Willing to travel outside Nairobi to other counties to attend work routinely each month. Physically fit, ready and capable of supporting the team, including attending places at short notice, travelling by road where needed etc. Valid driving license is an advantage.Previous work as a PA and/or experience in agribusiness or the NGO sector is an advantage.Kenyan Citizen with valid national Identification CardSalary: The starting monthly salary is approximately KES 40,000 to KES 45,000 pro-rated.How to ApplySuitably qualified candidates are invited to apply as soon as possible:Only serious candidates need apply.
