Objectives

1. Produce High-Quality Online Content: Develop self-paced modules that incorporate engaging activities, hands-on exercises, and evaluation tools.

2. Foster Independent Learning: Design course materials that enable learners to study at their own pace, supported by clear instructions and opportunities for feedback.

3. Promote Effective Knowledge Retention: Use multimedia, practical examples, and case studies to help participants apply concepts in real-world scenarios.


Scope of Work

1. Content Development

• Curriculum Planning: Develop a modular outline with explicit learning objectives, reading resources, discussion prompts, and assessments suitable for asynchronous (self-paced) use.

• Interactive Learning Elements: Embed quizzes, scenario-based simulations, and practical exercises throughout each module to sustain participant engagement and encourage self-reflection.

• Accessibility & Standards: Ensure each module is accessible for all learners (e.g., closed captions, transcripts) and aligns with recognized e-learning standards (e.g., SCORM) where relevant.


2. Platform & Technology Integration

• LMS Collaboration: Collaborate with DC’s technical team to ensure all course materials are properly integrated and functional on the Learning Management System (LMS).

• User Experience (UX) Enhancement: Propose improvements to user interface design, navigation flow, and overall layout to create an intuitive and cohesive learning environment.

• Technical Assistance: Provide guidance on addressing technical issues and user queries that may arise once the course is live.


Deliverables

1. Course Outline: A clear, module-by-module breakdown detailing objectives, content flow, and delivery strategies.

2. Digital Course Materials: Videos, interactive activities, quizzes, handouts, and additional supporting documents.

3. Assessment Tools: A combination of formative exercises (e.g., quick checks) and summative evaluations (final quizzes, projects, or case analyses).

4. Course Deployment: Completed modules fully operational on the LMS, ready for learner enrollment.

5. Performance Review & Feedback Report: Analysis of learner engagement, completion rates, and feedback, along with recommendations for future improvements.


Required Qualifications and Experience

• Academic Credentials: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Instructional Design, Business, Finance, International Development, or related fields).

• Professional Expertise: Proven track record in designing and delivering e-learning modules, including experience with interactive digital content and video production.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate) and familiarity with editing software for videos and graphics.

• Instructional Design Knowledge: Ability to use adult learning theories and universal design principles to create inclusive, learner-focused materials.

• Industry Experience: Substantial, real-world proficiency in at least one of the listed training domains.

• Communication Ability: Excellent on-camera presence and strong skills in articulating complex ideas to a diverse online audience.
