ABOUT THE COMPANY

Gilani’s Distributors is a dominance in the distribution sector and is well known and respected. This is evidenced by the increased presence of our trucks ferrying goods on roads throughout the Rift Valley, Central, Nairobi, Nyanza, Mombasa Coastal region and the Western corridor of Kenya.

JOB SUMMARY

The National Sales Manager is responsible for leading andmanaging the sales team at a national level. They report directly to the Headof Commercial and play a crucial role in achieving sales targets and expandingmarket presence.Requirements1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales, preferably in the FMCG industry.3. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.4. Strong leadership and team management skills.5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.6. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.7. Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory.8. Proficiency in using sales CRM software and MS Officesuite.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve national sales targets.2. Lead and motivate the sales team to ensure optimal performance and achievement ofKPIs.3. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify newbusiness opportunities.4. Build and maintain relationships with key accounts and distributors, ensuringcustomer satisfaction and loyalty.5. Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to the Head ofCommercial.6. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective promotional activities and salescampaigns.7. Train and develop the sales team to enhance their product knowledge, selling skills,and customer relationship management.8. Conduct performance evaluations, set sales targets, and provide feedback and coachingto the sales team members.9. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and new sales techniques.
