Job Summary

We are seeking a full-time, on-site National Sales Manager to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. In this role, you will oversee our sales force team, preparation of sales reports, manage sales bottlenecks, liaise with sales staff and customers, perform sales analysis, and handle various reporting and market related functions. (salary: 200,000 Ksh gross)

Job Description/Requirements

• Develop a distinctive work setting by reshaping the existing job environment to higher standard and instill swiftness in responding to problems and opportunities.

• Use innovative ideas to drive the companys operating and sales capabilities to surpass customer satisfaction and company goals.

• Oversee the company’s day-to-day sales operations by producing sound plans, spotting problems and opportunities early, and responding aggressively to them.

• Coming up with a complete national and regional annual strategic plan that will ensure all regions have a complete strategic plan document for the coming year, divided into quarterly action plans.

• Plan monthly visits to key regional Wholesalers as well as the Modern Trade retailers.

• Review each period’s sales reports with the regional supervisors. Ensure there are set priorities for the period and that there is progress on the same.

• Review weekly sales report together with the regional supervisors and ensure they are all aligned.

• Receive weekly sales report with action plans for any individual outlet that is behind target from individual regional representatives.

• Ensure the performance management system for each member of staff is duly filled with appropriate actions taken for those below the target.

• Effectively manage all staff under the Country Sales Manager including the Area Sales Supervisors, the DSRs, the MBRs and the MT Supervisors and Merchandisers.

• Ensure all client accounts are operating within the agreed limits, and collections are made on time.

• Ensure the resources allocation is monitored and effectively managed towards achieving maximum product availability and ROI to the company.

• Ensure development of close relationships with Key TT and MT customers including other stakeholders relevant to the success of the business.

• Ensure the annual/monthly/periodic set objectives are implemented and completed on time.


Eligibility Requirements for the National Sales Manager Job

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce/Management with a bias in Sales and Marketing.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience of National Branch Operations in accompany dealing with FMCG

• Advanced computer skills including SAP, MS Word and MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and proficient use of the internet and email.

• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to quickly understand and process operations data.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proven teamwork and leadership skills, and the ability to successfully build and manage a team and mentor all staff and agents to support professional development.

• Organized, systematic and process oriented with good administrative skills.

• Flexible and resourceful; the ability to work under minimal supervision and willingness to be responsible for a varied set of tasks that will support the company’s growth and expansion.

• A commitment to the Company’s business mission and an enthusiasm to work in a challenging environment.
