JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced MEP Coordinator with 7-10 years of work experience and a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering to manage and oversee all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) aspects of construction projects. The ideal candidate will provide technical expertise, ensure coordination across various teams, and ensure that MEP services are implemented in line with project requirements, specifications, and safety standards.The candidate will have the opportunity to work in Kenya or any of our sister companies within the East Africa region. Qualifications:Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering.7-10 years of experience in MEP coordination or related roles.Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction processes, and project management.Proven experience with MEP drawings, site inspections, and quality control.Ability to manage risks, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate multiple teams effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Advise the Project Manager on MEP-related issues affecting construction progress.Review and monitor the contractor's MEP construction schedule.Manage day-to-day activities of MEP contractors.Ensure proper filing and monitoring of MEP documentation.Participate in risk workshops and address MEP-related risks.Review contractor’s shop drawings and installation methods for compliance.Coordinate MEP services with structural and architectural plans.Review material proposals and ensure construction quality.Conduct site inspections and witness MEP testing and commissioning.Ensure adherence to safety standards and resolve technical issues.Prepare progress reports, snagging lists, and necessary documentation for insurance and commissioning.
