We are seeking a Medical Trainer to train and mentor healthcare workers and enhance maternal, newborn and child health service delivery in Kakamega County.

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Midwifery
Experience: Minimum 2 years


Key Responsibilities

● Train and mentor HCWs in comprehensive maternal care, including antenatal, delivery, postnatal care and maternal complications.

● Train and mentor HCWs on essential and emergency newborn care

● Equip healthcare workers with knowledge and skills on best practices in management common childhood and newborn illnesses

● Provide continuous feedback and reports to health facilities and other stakeholders.

● Participate in training and capacity-building activities to enhance professional skills.


Minimum Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Midwifery from an accredited institution.

● Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya.

● At least 2 years of experience in a busy maternal and child health department/clinic.

● Training in Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (EmONC) or Respectful Maternal Newborn Care is highly desirable.

● Strong clinical skills and expertise in maternal and child health.

● Ability to work effectively under pressure and in resource-limited settings.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
