The ideal candidate is a hunter—a proactive sales professional who thrives on identifying new business opportunities, securing new clients, and consistently exceeding revenue targets.This role requires a blend of sales acumen, marketing expertise, and industry networking to develop and execute strategic initiatives that enhance sales in the Corporate, Group, Government, Incentives, Conventions, and Meetings segments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business DevelopmentActively promote and sell Corporate, Group, Government, and MICE services to achieve revenue targets.Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event organizers, government institutions, and key decision-makers.Identify market trends and emerging business opportunities, implementing strategic sales initiatives to capitalize on them.Generate leads and prospect new clients through cold calling, networking, and referrals.Prepare and deliver compelling sales pitches, proposals, and presentations to potential clients.Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry networking events to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.Revenue & Strategic ManagementCollaborate with the Revenue Management team to develop competitive pricing strategies and maximize revenue generation.Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and industry benchmarks to ensure the company remains competitive.Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with business objectives.Client Relationship & Service ExcellenceAct as the primary liaison for corporate and MICE clients, ensuring seamless event execution and client satisfaction.Conduct client site visits and hotel familiarization tours to showcase venue capabilities.Coordinate with the Front Office and Food & Beverage teams to ensure flawless execution of group bookings and events.Marketing & Brand PositioningCollaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and promotional materials for corporate and MICE segments.Leverage digital marketing, social media, and direct outreach to attract potential clients.Develop engaging marketing materials, brochures, online content, and sales presentations.Reporting & Data ManagementMaintain an accurate client database and key account records for effective targeting and follow-ups.Prepare and present weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance reports.Ensure compliance with data integrity and accuracy in client records and CRM tools.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales & marketing, preferably in the hospitality industry.Proven track record in new business sales with a hunter mentality—comfortable with prospecting, cold calling, and lead generation.Experience in Corporate Sales, Group Sales, Government Sales, Incentives, Conventions, and Meeting Sales.Strong understanding of the Kenyan hospitality and MICE market, with existing industry networks.Experience in resort and remote destination sales is highly desirable.Experience with CRM tools and sales reporting software.Media sales experience or experience in business-to-business advertising sales is an added advantage.Experience participating in trade shows, exhibitions, and B2B networking events.Proficiency in Opera Hotel System is an added advantage.Own car and valid driving license preferred.Skills & CompetenciesPassion for sales and a results-driven mindset.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Strong organizational and planning abilities to manage multiple clients and projects.Digitally savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.High energy levels, endurance, and ambition—a true go-getter.Why Join Us?Exciting opportunity to work in a leading hospitality & MICE organization.Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.Exposure to high-profile corporate and government clients.Career growth and professional development opportunities.A collaborative and dynamic work environment where innovation and initiative are valued.
