JOB SUMMARY
We invite applications for the position of Maintenance Planner– Finlays Tea Extracts Kenya. This is a 1-year term contract based in Kericho. Job Overview: Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Planner will facilitate continuous improvement in preventative maintenance, equipment reliability, equipment availability and optimal utilization of resources through problem-solving and focused improvement facilitation, reliability-based maintenance programme development, computerized maintenance management system development, information management, and shutdown, project, and normal maintenance planning. Minimum RequirementsBe a holder of Degree or Diploma in the Engineering field from a recognized institution.3-5 years proven relevant experience working in similar operational environments.Experience in asset management, including preventative maintenance, is essential.Good understanding of the food manufacturing process and quality managementKnowledge of using WCO best practices tools such as RCPS, L&W Analyses, etc.The job holder is required to solve day-to-day problems incurred at the factory
RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyse machines for potential failure causes, identify preventive maintenance tasks and optimise preventive maintenance schedulesDevelop statutory maintenance requirements and develop and implement reliability centred maintenance practicesIdentify and analyse problems or potential problems and identify equipment eligible for design and maintenanceFacilitate Level 1 and 2 problem-solving sessions and administer a gap listFacilitate weekly engineering and production planning meetingMonitor and advise on store inventory ensuring adequate stock level for maintenance activitiesParticipate in Root Cause Analysis and Profit Improvement Process / 6 Sigma ProjectsPlan maintenance tasks for shutdown, projects, and normal maintenance plansReview shutdown, project, and normal maintenance plan effectivenessEstablish and issue follow-on work required. plan and record job observationsCustomise, implement, and audit business processes and ensure correct system usage by the teamCapture data, analyze, generate maintenance reports, and develop CMMS master dataClose out any residual project activities within their areas (specific to each area), i.e., Management of Change tasks and outstanding EAM system deliverablesDrive improvement initiatives and enhancements to the Sage X3 solution and drive compliance within the area of focusAdministration -provide input to ERP leads and related justifications for proposed changes to the ERP.Application Procedure If you meet the requirements of this position, please apply, including a detailed CV, your postal, e-mail, and telephone contacts and the names and addresses of three referees.
