JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a proactive and organized Legal Assistant to support our legal team in a variety of administrative and legal tasks. This role involves client communication, document management, and providing general legal administrative support. You will be a key part of ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of our legal practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:Client Communication: Communicate regularly with clients to request medical records and provide updates. Maintain consistent follow-up to ensure smooth case progression.Email and Calendar Management: Manage incoming and outgoing emails, as well as schedule and organize meetings, appointments, and court dates.Legal Document Filing:  File legal documents and correspondence daily, ensuring they are organized and accessible in both physical and digital formats.Document Preparation: Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and subpoenas under the direction of attorneys.Legal Administrative Support: Assist with administrative duties, including keeping and organizing court files and providing support to attorneys as needed.Communication with Legal Parties: Communicate with clients, witnesses, and attorneys to gather necessary information and ensure timely completion of tasks.Required Skills and Qualifications:1 year of experience in a similar role within a legal or administrative setting.Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, and witnesses.Strong ability to multitask and handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.Proactive and able to take initiative in solving problems and managing tasks independently.Highly organized, with the ability to maintain and manage legal files effectively.

Answering telephones and call management, Calendar management, Legal analysis, Office administration, management, Documentation and record keeping

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Diploma, Associate's degree
