Internal Auditor

Brief Job Description 

The Internal Auditor will be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, identify financial and operational risk ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and provide recommendations to enhance overall efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate should have experience in the FMCG sector, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Qualification (Must Have)

Must have worked in a Food Manufacturing Industry in a similar role for a minimum of 7 years.

Desired Experience

Minimum 7 Years experience in Internal Audit

Competencies for the position

• Strong understanding of financial accounting, risk management and internal controls.
• Experience in food manufacturing or biscuit production is a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of International Financial reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
• Proficiency in financial analysis, fraud detection, and forensic auditing techniques.
• Prior experience in ERP systems and audit software is preferred.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel, Accounting software (SAP, QuickBooks, or Oracle), and data analytics tools.
• Understanding of Kenyan tax laws, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
• High level integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and report writing abilities.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
