About Victory Farms
Victory Farms is building the most sustainable and scalable protein business in Africa through an innovative aquaculture business platform. This vertically integrated protein platform owns and operates the inputs to fish production: feed, genetics and hatchery. The platform owns and operates farming sites, where tilapia is produced efficiently in the pristine waters of Lake Victoria (Kenya) and Lake Kivu (Rwanda). Victory then processes its fish and operates cold chain to move fresh and processed fish throughout Kenya and
Rwanda. And lastly, Victory operates 80 retail locations in Kenya and 5 retail locations in Rwanda, where the fish are sold to tens of thousands of market ladies, who serve the mass market consumer.
Victory Farms aspires to be the world’s first truly regenerative aquaculture business. The Company uses two simple metrics to track its achievement toward this goal: carbon negative and biodiversity positive.
The first major step to achieve carbon negative operations, the company has built the world’s first 100% geothermal feed mill. More programs are underway. To achieve biodiversity positive on land and water, the Company has a number of land-based and water-based restoration projects, which can demonstrate progress toward improved biodiversity on all the company’s earth footprints.
