As part of our growth and commitment to organizational excellence, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated Human Resources Officer to join our team. The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for managing and executing all HR functions for Appropriate Design Limited. This includes overseeing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of HR practices within the construction industry

Job Description/Requirements

zz1. Recruitment & Onboarding

Lead the recruitment process for various roles within the company, including job posting, candidate
screening, interviewing, and selection.
● Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring smooth integration into the company culture
and operations.
2. Employee Relations
● Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, resolving workplace issues and fostering positive
employee relations.
Mediate and address conflicts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Promote a healthy workplace culture and support employee engagement through various initiatives and
programs.3. Performance Management & Development
● Support the design and implementation of performance management systems that align with business
goals.
● Work with managers to set clear expectations, conduct performance appraisals, and provide feedback for
employee development.
Develop and monitor training programs aimed at enhancing employee skills, productivity, and leadership
potential.
4. Compensation & Benefits
Manage compensation and benefits administration, including salary benchmarking, incentive programs, and
health/welfare plans.
Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with legal regulations.
5. Compliance & Legal
Ensure the organization adheres to labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Monitor compliance with health and safety guidelines, particularly on construction sites.
Prepare and maintain HR records, reports, and documentation required for audits and legal purposes.
6. Strategic HR Planning
● Contribute to the development and execution of HR strategies that support the company’s long-term goals.
● Assist in succession planning and talent management to build a robust workforce for the future.
● Advise senior management on organizational changes, restructuring, or team alignment needs.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in HR management
● Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and industry-specific HR challenges.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
● Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in HR software, MS Office, and data management systems.
Personal Attributes
Leadership skills and the ability to build strong, trust-based relationships across the company.
● A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
