Job Summary

The Human Resource Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support across all functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance. The role contributes to creating an efficient, motivated, and high-performing workforce aligned with the college’s mission and values.

Job Description/Requirements

Recruitment and Staffing:

  • Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process including advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding.

  • Maintain a pool of qualified candidates for academic and non-academic positions.

  • Ensure that recruitment practices comply with institutional and regulatory standards.

Employee Relations and Welfare:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances, ensuring timely and fair resolution.

  • Promote a positive work culture and coordinate staff welfare initiatives and events.

  • Support effective communication between management and staff.

Performance Management:

  • Assist in the implementation of performance appraisal systems.

  • Monitor employee performance and provide administrative support for performance improvement plans.

  • Track probation periods and confirm employment based on performance outcomes.

Training and Development:

  • Identify staff training needs and coordinate professional development initiatives.

  • Maintain training records and evaluate the impact of training programs on employee performance.

HR Records and Compliance:

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records, both physical and digital.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, college policies, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Prepare and submit HR reports and updates to senior management.

Policy Development and Implementation:

  • Support the development, review, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.

  • Educate staff on HR policies, procedures, and college codes of conduct.

Leave and Attendance Management:

  • Monitor staff attendance and manage leave records in coordination with department heads.

  • Generate attendance reports and flag patterns requiring intervention.

Exit Management:

  • Facilitate exit interviews, clearance procedures, and issuance of employment certificates.

  • Analyze reasons for staff turnover and recommend retention strategies.
