Overview 

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both legal and human resources functions, providing essential support to our legal and HR departments. This role requires a high level of confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The HR Assistant will be responsible for maintaining employee records, assisting with compliance issues, and supporting the recruitment process. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities 

Advising and representing the company in labor related disputes and cases.

Custody and maintaining of staff personnel files and all other statutory staff records.

Supporting the company in human resource management and organizational development

Planning and delivering training - including inductions for new staff

Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings and scheduling interviews.

Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.

Draft and review legal documents and contracts.

Conduct legal research and provide summaries of findings.

Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding processes.

Assist with employee relations and conflict resolution.

Preparing staff handbooks

Prepare reports and presentations for HR and legal departments.

Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Handle confidential information with discretion.

Assist with benefits administration and payroll processing.

Coordinate training and development programs.

Monitor and ensure compliance with state, and local employment laws.

Assist with internal audits and investigations.

Provide administrative support to the HR and legal teams.

Manage and organize legal and HR files and documents.

Assist with performance management processes.

Coordinate employee recognition programs.

Support diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Assist with special projects as needed.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors or a Diploma in Human Resource Management

Member of IHRM

1-3 years’ relevant experience

Good understanding of employment laws, policies and procedures

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality

Strong analytical and planning skills

Computer literate

 Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations.

 Excellent organizational and time management skills.

 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

 Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

 Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

 Experience with HR software and databases.

 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 Strong problem-solving skills.

 Proactive and self-motivated.

 Excellent interpersonal skills.

 Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity.

 Strong research skills.

 Experience with benefits administration and payroll processing.

 Knowledge of recruitment and onboarding processes.

 Ability to prepare and present reports.
