JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Health and Safety Officer with a diploma or degree in a related field such as Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or Public Health, along with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment on-site, providing immediate first aid when necessary, and managing all health and safety records. This role involves collaborating with the site team to maintain compliance with safety regulations and managing health-related incidents efficiently.Qualifications:Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Public Health, or a related field.3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a construction or industrial environment.In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to implement them effectively on-site.Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations and provide first aid assistance.Strong record-keeping skills and experience with safety documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure proper health and safety procedures are followed on-site to maintain a safe working environment.Maintain and regularly check the first aid kit to ensure all necessary items are stocked and available.Provide immediate first aid to injured individuals on-site and ensure their safety and well-being.Keep up-to-date safety records, ensuring that all minor and major injuries are accurately recorded in the site safety book.Escort injured individuals to the clinic or hospital as needed, and ensure proper documentation, including obtaining sick sheets from the office.Follow up on all injuries to ensure necessary treatment is received and that appropriate documentation is completed, from initial injury to final recovery.Submit all necessary documents for insurance purposes to the head office, including Dosh Part 1, 2, and other required forms.
