Role Purpose
To be responsible for the business’ security strategies planning, implementation, and oversight of the overall security operations of the company to ensure the security of people, assets, and facilities while minimizing company losses.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND KEY RESULTS AREAS
1. Security Planning and Implementation
Develop and execute security strategies, conduct risk assessments, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement preventive measures to enhance organizational safety and mitigate risks.
2. Security Operations
Oversee security needs across departments, manage investigations, optimize the security budget, and ensure the effective implementation of security protocols, audits, and risk mitigation measures.
3. Personnel Management
Lead recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management of the security team to ensure operational excellence.
4. Emergency Response
Develop and maintain crisis and continuity plans, coordinate drills, and manage responses to emergencies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
5. Security Technology Management
Manage security systems, leverage advancements in technology to enhance surveillance and efficiency, and implement cost-effective solutions.
6. Security Awareness and Advisory
Promote security awareness, train employees on protocols, and provide expert counsel to management on safeguarding organizational assets and personnel.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement, Business Management, or a related field, with advanced training or certifications in security preferred.
- Minimum of five years’ experience as a Security Manager in a reputable organization.
- Strong expertise in security procedures, surveillance systems, and industry regulations.
- Proven ability to manage and respond to security breaches, with excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with availability for after-hours alerts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a strong focus on commercial acumen, strategic leadership, change management, and team development.
