Position Summary:
As the Head of Marketing, your role is pivotal in shaping and executing the company's overall marketing strategy. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to establish and implement effective marketing strategies, drive process improvements, and provide leadership to the marketing team.
As the Head of Marketing, you will be at the forefront of our company's growth, strategically positioning our products or services in the market, building brand awareness and equity, and ultimately driving customer acquisition and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
● Create and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company objectives to drive growth and brand positioning.
● Lead, mentor, and manage the marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
● Oversee brand development to enhance visibility, equity, and reputation across all customer touchpoints.
● Conduct market research and analyse industry trends to inform strategy and identify growth opportunities.
● Plan, implement, and evaluate integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, and traditional channels.
● Develop and oversee the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximise ROI.
● Work closely with sales, product, and executive teams to align marketing initiatives with organisational goals.
● Develop strategies to drive customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty, leveraging data-driven insights.
● Set KPIs and monitor the effectiveness of marketing activities, ensuring continuous improvement.
● Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating innovative approaches into the marketing strategy.
Qualifications and Skills:
● Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
● Proven experience developing and implementing successful marketing strategies, preferably in career development, recruitment, or tech industries.
● Strong team management and leadership abilities with experience building and mentoringnhigh performing marketing teams.
● Ability to align marketing strategies with business objectives and drive long-term growth.
● Proficiency in data-driven decision-making, with the ability to interpret market trends and campaign performance metrics.
● Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools, platforms, and best practices, including SEO, SEM, content marketing, and social media.
● Experience in building and managing brand equity, particularly in competitive markets.
● Proven ability to manage budgets effectively and achieve high ROI on marketing investments.
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
● In-depth understanding of the East African market, customer behaviour, and competitive landscape
